DESCRIPTION OF CASE
Plaintiff presented to a New York City Hospital with a lump in her breast. After undergoing a mammogram, Plaintiff had a biopsy of the breast, which was read as negative. Approximately nine months later, Plaintiff was diagnosed with breast cancer. Plaintiff claimed that Defendants negligently performed the biopsy, thereby failing to diagnose her breast cancer in a timely manner.

Breast cancer necessitating mastectomy.
