INJURIES/DAMAGES
Herniated lumbar disc at L5-S1 with radiculopathy. Pltf. Claimed that as a result of the radiculopathy, his knees buckled on several occasions, causing him to fall. He claimed that the falls caused bilateral torn menisci, a fractured tibia, and a fractured fifth metacarpal of the dominant hand. In February 1999, Pltf. underwent a discectomy, facetectomy, and fusion with the insertion of fusion cages.
