The Plaintiff was 53 years of age on the date of the accident and was the manager of a dry cleaning shop.
DESCRIPTION OF CASE
The plaintiff was proceeding across the street in a pedestrian crosswalk with the walk sign in her favor when she was stuck by the defendant school bus which was making a left turn.
INJURIES/DAMAGES
The plaintiff sustained a mid shaft fracture to her left femur which required nailing to repair. The fracture failed to unite and the plaintiff was diagnosed with a non union. The plaintiff underwent a second surgery which included the insertion of a bone graft to the fracture site. The surgery was a success with the treating orthopedic surgeon indicating as of March of 2004 that the plaintiff would not require any further medical follow up with regard to her femur.
